A Brief History of the Project

The SisPorto Project started in 1987, with the creation of the “Porto System” for computer analysis of FHR signals, by João Bernardes, Carlos Moura, Joaquim Marques-de-Sá and Luís Pereira Leite.

The first version of the System for Windows was renamed SisPorto® 1.0 and appeared in 1995, created by João Bernardes, António Garrido, and Joaquim Marques-de-Sá.

SysPorto@ 2.0 was completed in 1997, created by António Garrido, João Bernardes and Diogo Ayres-de-Campos.

SisPorto® 2.0

A multichannel version with real-time alerts was created in 2022 by Diogo Ayres-de-Campos, Paulo Sousa and João Bernardes, and commercialised in 2006 by Speculum, Lisbon, under the name Omniview-SisPorto®.

In February 2023, the SisPorto group held its 100th working meeting.
