The SisPorto Project started in 1987, with the creation of the “Porto System” for computer analysis of FHR signals, by João Bernardes, Carlos Moura, Joaquim Marques-de-Sá and Luís Pereira Leite.
The first version of the System for Windows was renamed SisPorto® 1.0 and appeared in 1995, created by João Bernardes, António Garrido, and Joaquim Marques-de-Sá.
SysPorto@ 2.0 was completed in 1997, created by António Garrido, João Bernardes and Diogo Ayres-de-Campos.
A multichannel version with real-time alerts was created in 2022 by Diogo Ayres-de-Campos, Paulo Sousa and João Bernardes, and commercialised in 2006 by Speculum, Lisbon, under the name Omniview-SisPorto®.
In February 2023, the SisPorto group held its 100th working meeting.
